I posted this mani on the FB page Adventures in Stamping.  This past Sunday Challenge was using Pastel Colors. 

To apply all the colors I used my nail stamper, yes my nail stamper! :)

I saw a tutorial on Marbling using a plastic sandwich bag, where you apply dots of polish on your nail, then wrap the plastic bag to create a marbling effect... so I decided to apply dots of polish to plastic bag and try to pick up my stamper and it worked out great.  No need for special tools or sponges, just your stamper.

China Glaze Surprise Collection: Swatches

I hope your having a great day!  Yesterday I visited my local Sally Beauty Supply and they had a new China Glaze display up.  It's called Surprise and what a surprise it is... finding this beautiful collection! I read on a few blogs that this collection is suppose to be out in April, so I guess I was lucky my Sally's had it out on display earlier.  This collection has 6 fun glitter combos! Sally Beauty Supply is currently having a BOGO Sale on China Glaze all month long! (Buy 1 Get 1 Free) I couldn't say No to a good deal, so I just had to purchase them all!  Look at the swatches:

1.  Glimmer More

I applied it over Zoya Chantal & used stamping plate LC-18.

2.  Create A Spark

I applied it over China Glaze Petal to The Metal & used stamping plate LC-18.

3. Glitter Up

I applied it over China Glaze Lemon Fiz & used stamping plate QA46.

4.  Shine-nanigans

I applied it over Rimmel I Lilac You and stamping plate QA40.

5.  I'm A Go Glitter

I appied it over Rimmel Mintilicious and used stamping plate QA40.

6.  Don't Be A Flake

I applied it over OPI My boyfriend Scales Walls and used stamping plate QA12.

What do you think? Aren't they so cool?!  I just love neon glitters, plus the combo of matte glitter and shiny glitters.  Wow, they are beautiful!  They weren't difficult to apply.  Like most glitter you do have to fish them out of the bottle to apply them evenly where you want to on the nail, but I am okay with that.

Zig Zag Gradient: Using Winstonia W203

Hi!

Today I posted this simple stamping mani on my Instagram:

What did I use?

1.  China Glaze Spring In My Step

2.  China Glaze In A Lily Bit

3.  China Glaze What A Pansy

4.  Winstonia plate W203

5.  Konad Black

6.  Seche Vite

Steps:

1.  I applied a coat of China Glaze Spring In My Step to all my nails.

2.  Using a makeup sponge wedge, make a gradient using:  CG Spring In My Step (top color), CG In A Lily Bit (center color) and CG What A Pansy (bottom color) to all your nails.

3.  Apply top coat to smooth and blend your gradient and prepare a clean smooth base for your stamping.  Wait till it dries completely and continue to the next step.

4.  Stamp using Konad Black and W203

5.  Finish up with your favorite top coat and your done!

Do They Stamp? 

NO, but they are great to stamp over them! :) As you see in the pictures above they look gorgeous with stamping.  You can create beautiful manicures with them.  



**Please Note: These polish contain glitter in them that can ruin your plates.  They can scratch your plates and the small glitter can get suck in the images.  So be careful when trying them out on your stamping plates. 

I did have the courage to try them out for you guys.  I stamped them on paper using my Konad stamper and Bundle Monster plate BM-411.  Look:



China Glaze Seahorsin' Around, is the only one that looks promising, but I wouldn't use them as stamping polishes.  They are so beautiful by their own. 

My thoughts: 

I really love this collection.  They are so beautiful with or with a top coat. China Glaze Seahorsin' Around stained my cuticles a little, so be careful with that one.

My favs are:

1.  Wish On A Starfish

2.  Sand Dolla Make You Holla

3.  Shell We Dance?

They are gorgeous colors to use with nail stamping.  I do not recommend them to be used as nail stamping polishes.

Holographic Hearts

Hola! Como estan?  Espero que bien!

Here I have Infra-red from China Glaze Hologlams 2013 Collection.  If you didn't know holographic nail polish are great for stamping, but it can be a little tricky.  The polish tends to dry up faster on the plate so you must hurry and stamp quickly.  It will take practice, but the final result is beautiful. 

Ingredients in this Mani are:

1.  China Glaze Infra-red
2.  Orly Liquid Vinyl
3.  Pueen Stamping plate 41
4.  Seche Vite

The China Glaze Texture Collection

I have been stalking my local Sally Beauty Supply for about two weeks looking for these polishes.  Finally I bought them yesterday! They are super cool! I love when I find special effect polishes.  For me the China Glaze Textures are very unique because I have nothing similar to them.  They are my first texture polishes.

I had so much fun applying them and watching them dry to rough sandy texture.  I had no problem applying them and I was amazed on how fast they dried.  At first I thought they would be difficult to remove, but they weren't.  I just applied a cotton ball soaked in acetone on my nail waited a few seconds and I slide the cotton ball down toward the tip of my nail removing almost all the polish.  I was left with a little residual of the sand like material on my nails but it washes off with soap and water.  Sally Beauty Supply has a great sale going on, they have a Buy 2 and Get 1 free on all their polishes.   Here are the beautiful colors:

Pueen plate 05 and stamping color:  Sinful White Snow Me White.

China Glaze Tranzitions

Hola amigos!

This will be my first post for 2013.  With the new year comes new nail polish collections! Yay!

Here I have for you The China Glaze Tranzitions Collection.  They are fun polishes that change color with just applying a top coat.  This collection has six colors.  After searching online, seeing some swatches and reviews I decided to just get these colors four colors:

1.  Split Perso-nail-ity

 

2.  Duplicityy

 

3.  Shape Shifter

 

6.  Modify Me

 

China Glaze recommends you using their Fast Forward Coat, but honestly you might be able to use any top coat.  I tried and compared Beauty Secrets Top Coat, Seche Vite & China Glaze Fast Forward Coat and they all work the same, so its up to you.  

These are all one coaters and look beautiful without a top coat.  It was very fun to play with them.  My tip is to follow the instructions and apply two coats, let the polish dry and create your designs.    I wouldn't recommend covering the whole nail with the top coat because it does make the polish look streaky.  I prefer making dots and heart with a dotting tool.  My opinion is that it look way better than brush strokes.  Remember it does take practice but hey practice makes perfect!  

Ice Cream Nails

Hola amigos!

I have another yummy treat for you today! Ice Cream Nails.  I love China Glaze It's A Trap-eze so much that I just had to make another delicious mani!

What I used:

1.  Essie Splash of Grenadine
2.  China Glaze It's A Trapeze
3.  KD7 Stamping Plate
4.  Sinful Colors Snow Me white
5.  China Glaze Mahogany Magic

Steps:

1.  Apply Essie Splash of Grenadine to all your nails.  Let them completely dry.
2.  On the stamping plate use China Glaze Mahogany Magic for the cone part and Sinful Colors Snow Me white on the Ice Cream top.  Then wipe and apply on nails with stamper.  Repeat on all nails.
3.   Now we will fill up Ice Cream with China Glaze It's A Trapeze using a dotting tool.
4.  Let nails dry and apply your favorite top coat!

Blast From The Past #1: China Glaze Metro Collection 2011

Introducing Blast From The Past.  In blast from the past I will posting some old collections.  Here are the swatches of all 12 nail polishes from the China Glaze Metro Collection that was release last year during fall 2011.  I have done very simple manicures for some of the shades and others I just left alone because they where beautiful as is.  Believe me they are much better in person.  Enjoy :)
